The Crossing The Tyne Festival was even bigger this year with over 30 venues and events over four days, from Friday 23 August to Bank Holiday Monday 26 August!
“Strum on The Tyne” at the Magnesia Bank on Saturday was as brilliant as usual!
The Maggie Bank was also one of the pubs serving “Shiels Festival“, the special beer brewed by Festival Sponsor Three Kings Brewery.
I even got to perform at the Open Mic (and frolic!) at The Festival Stage at The Old Low Light.
The Festival Charity this year was RNLI Lifeboats (Tynemouth) – the collection buckets are still being counted by Steve Willis, Festival Organiser!
Now slowly raising my head from the Recovery Position . . . to prepare articles for the Festival website and add links for all the fantastic performers, event hosts and wonderful partners – like the North East Maritime Trust who sailed the Henry Frederick Swan leading an RNLI Flotilla up and down the Tyne as part of the Festival!

Follow the Festival blog for updates!
And roll-on next year!
